What these guides are actually for
This is the same statement that shows up once in front of the Dynamics pages, kept here as its own page so it can be read without a gate in the way, linked to, or sent to somebody who has drawn the wrong conclusion.
I think people are going to misread what these pages are for, so let me just say it plainly. These pages existing doesn't mean I'm out here doing all of it. I live a full, complicated, pretty ordinary life outside of this, and one of my actual goals is taking things I've learned and handing them off to other people in a format they can actually use.
So far, across all the guides, they've been read something like 150,000 times.
The kink section of the site is done now, and it came out of roughly 50 to 55 hours of research, writing, editing and review. None of it is a random opinion dump or a fantasy piece. These are educational guides, and a good chunk of them got fact-checked by people I know who are active in the specific communities they cover.
The point was never to talk anyone into a kink they weren't already curious about. The point is giving people accurate, approachable information so they can ask questions without feeling stupid or judged for asking.
A few things the whole site is built on
Consent comes first
Every time. Not as a line at the top of a page, but as the thing the rest of the page is organised around.
Safety and risk awareness aren't optional extras
Where something can genuinely hurt somebody, it says so plainly instead of softening it into a footnote.
Communication and negotiation matter
Not just as a disclaimer at the top of the page. They're treated as the actual skill, because they are.
Every guide points somewhere better
General etiquette, best practices, and somewhere to go learn more from people who know the subject better than I do.
The presence of a page isn't a statement about me
Human sexuality is messy and enormous. There are hundreds of kinks, dynamics and communities out there, and nobody, including me, is familiar with all of them. Me saying "that one's not for me" isn't a reason it shouldn't be written up honestly somewhere. Educational writing exists so people can understand things they'll probably never personally do.
Curious, questioning, supporting a partner who's into something you're not, or just trying to see where someone else is coming from: whoever you are, you deserve information that's factual and respectful and built around consent, not misinformation, stigma or shame.
That's what these guides are for.
The hard lines, for completeness
These are the same ones the gate asks you to agree to, written out here so they're readable without ticking anything.
- 18 or older. No exceptions, and nothing in that section is written for or directed at minors.
- Nothing is explicit. No images, no sexual description, no pornography anywhere in it.
- Age regression and pet regression aren't sexual. Where I write about either, it's a mental-health and coping topic, entirely separate from anything kink-related. Conflating the two is the single most common way people get this site wrong.
- None of it is advice, instruction, or therapy. Every page ends with somewhere better to go for the next step.
- Consent runs both ways. Don't screenshot, repost, or share the writing out of context.
- Nothing about you is collected. The gate remembers, in your browser only, that you've been through it. That's the whole of it.
